Fall is here and school is back in session here in Seattle. We are so happy to be at the start of having a routine in our life again. While our summer was so fantastic it really lacked any predictability or consistency for the kids or me, so now that fall is here I’m embracing it.
Ben is in his second year of preschool this year, though attending a new school. He is going to a Montessori school in our neighborhood, just four blocks from our house. So far the transition to his new school has been seamless. He is really enjoying it and drop-off is a breeze!
Already on the first day of school I saw notable changes in Ben’s independence, one of the pillars of the Montessori philosophy. I’m eager to see how the new school environment influences him and promotes independence and executive functioning skills.
